Player comments to EA
Jack Snygg: I have always loved EA, i played a lot of their games and so. But then something happened, the games got worse and for a start i did'nt notice. But when they released the new SimCity, that's when i started to understand how bad EA actually is. That's why i wanted to join you, (boycott EA games) and i hope we can get EA to at least make better games!
Rufas Monroe: I'm not too sure if a couple of lines would be sufficient enough to express my personal disdain at the unprofessional behaviour before, during and especially after the ruthless demise of our favourite game on Facebook, Pet Society.
I understand the sadness and heartbreak that so many people have felt ad continue to go through.
I understand that Pet Society had the uncanny ability to reach across so many age groups.
I also understand the comradery that Pet Society taught us all and let's not forget the new friendships and in so many cases, Pet Society saved lives.
The people who played who were previously too ill to do anything, the people who were so alone and were close to giving up and the people in hospital who all had Pet Society as their "Life Support" ... etc ... the list goes on.
Now, I have read and seen all of the valid points and facts that are being and will continue to be, presented to EA.
The one valid and legal point that cannot be forgotten is that a large majority of people spent real money.
Players took advantage of the generous Cash Sales (right up to a few days before the game closed) but then found out in the end, they were the ones being taken advantage of by EA.
The valid and legal point that has to be addressed is "THEFT"!!!
They took our money knowing full well they were going to close. They ruthlessly encouraged us to take advantage of the Cash Sales and they continuously took our money.
I know of two people who at the closing of Pet Society who had: 960 BCs and the other one had close to 1,700 BCs.
That was the final amount they had after trying to spend them on items before Pet Society closed. So you can only imagine what they had to begin with when the notification was given "Spend them or loose them". These are just two examples!
How dare they encourage so many people to spend real money and then threaten them with "Spend them or loose them".
That to me, amounts to THEFT!!!
Puffle Iggy: EA has killed my pet, closed my restaurant at RC, destroy our precious old scrabble. and many other things. EA sucks! EA must refund to their players who spend real money to buy CC at pet society.
Tracey Gravelle: I feel robbed of everything that I have done, all my time and effort into the game and the money that I have spent. I am also very sad that they have taken the pets away from us.
Blondine De Wilde: I played every day, I miss my pet Fluffie and his petlings, it took me hours to decorate fluffie's house, I miss my friends alround the world and EA stool my money.
Jima Borja: EA has murdered my pet Baxter and his 17 petlings, that means they murdered 18 beings just in one player's game. It's not fair to have a wonderful game, get people to play it and feel their pets are real only to lose it to EA's greed.
Ann Wilson: I miss maisiepops. she always cheered me up watching her walking busily around her rooms, moving things about and having little sleeps in between. And I liked to dress her up. EA has hurt a lot of people.
Meg Rogers: In an environment full of kill 'em games, what was the harm of one that brought friends and family together and made us happy? Did EA even give us a chance to pay to keep it up? No.
Sarah Ford: EA are heartless it might just be a game to them but to others it is a part of every day living and they took that away disregarding their customers.

Karen Foster-Yonkers: I had over 20 blue cc and did not use them because...why, when it was all going to be taken away? My pet Porgromba will live on forever in my heart. I have so many pictures of her. I am so sad! I played almost four years!
Pigness Lady: We don't have any real pet. Since the time i started playing PS in 2008 with my sisters, we have been treating our pets like real pets.. Everyday we discuss how to dress the pets, how to decorate their rooms, what to buy etc. I never thought there will be one day I am going to lose my lovely cute pet and never ever see her again.
EA is so cruel and heartless to kill this game and kill our pets!

Adam Dupre: I do not believe that EA thinks PS is no longer popular. I believe that BECAUSE PS is so popular, EA felt that by closing it down there would be less competition for their more lucrative games.

Carol Blanchard: Pet Society was one of the best games I've played. Yes, I did once in a while take advantage of the give-away's in the Forum and I did try to earn the cash along the way. The plain & simple truth is that my "real money" is scarce right now. Much to scarce to waste it on a virtual game that will forever be in virtual cyberspace. I love my pet, but like many, I had to decide if I wanted the latest animated toy or if I wanted to eat. Not that I didn't desperately want those cool items lol.

蓮小以 EA never treat their customer fair, now they could think we are fanatical Pet Society loser. In the past I ever bought their PS3 games like "Dead Space" or "Shadow of the Damned", but in future I will never buy any game produced by them, and I will tell all my friends who like playing games what EA have done.

Rosie Schrell: Pet Society was a wonderful game. I loved dressing up my pet and visiting my friends homes to see how they decorated with the new things. I miss my Locks tremendously. I spent a lot of money on Locks. I looked at it like buying a drink for a friend. It's very sad indeed that they closed the game down. Hope they reopen it soon.

Mo Davies: I sent a letter to EA from the UK it cost me £7.00 a lot of postage and no answer. I think they have totally robbed us of our rights to the game we paid enough money for it. Also they put up a lot of PSC sales before they closed down knowing they were closing down. Also the items for the tree that gave us never ending shovels all before the announcement to close down. An absolute shameful disgrace. Surely that amounts to fraud???

My pet's name was tony, i named him after myself. i played Pet Society just about every day, which some people would think was unusual for a boy my age,but i still loved playing Pet Society.I had friends who had played P.S. but rarely checked on their pets,so i added other players on Pet Society's page, after a while(like every one else who joined this group) I became very attached to my pet, who was one of the only things i could look forward to during hard times. Around the time P.S. was closing i decided to treat my the best i could pet before "the end", so i made my home up as good as i could to look like a kind of dreamy wonder land, and dressed tony in his finest attire. I was so busy, trying to finish every thing up, i never got any pictures of him(which i now regret). misery pursued, and then i learned about this page,and that's when this all started for me, i was filled with a hope, a hope that things could get back to how they once where(which now seems like a long time ago), so i signed petitions took a poll, and am currently trying to do whatever i can to get my, and all everyone else's pets, back, but one day reality hit, i felt like there was nothing else i could do,and i know that some of you have given up,(and i'm sorry this post is so long), but we can't give up, we are all stronger than that, there will never be nothing left we could do, there will never be a sure "end", we have to stay strong and keep each other strong, we need to do whatever it takes, i know i'm willing to, Please, help me get my pet back help me save tony, NEVER GIVE UP. i know they might just be "net pets" but their our pets and they're real to us, they would've wanted us to keep fighting, and that's all that matters to me. i want to see my pet again, do you? Then please help us all save Pet Society, help each other, stay strong, don't give up,Please, i treat all my pets like family,and i know this might not sound right to some of you,but i don't care, help me see my family again,i'll try anything to get him back, i don't even have a picture. only the memories. (and again sorry about this post being so long)
Jeanette Seaborn: I'm disappointed that EA has chosen to close down Pet Society, a non-violent family-oriented game, in order to promote their more violent
and more adult-oriented games. We, as game players, don't need more violence in our games or lives - we need games that promote cooperation, friendship and good clean fun. PS promotes that and more!

Though I never thought throughout the year I'm loving such games ,and I thank and Adore the company who made such a perfect game like this, I lost my pet in Tamagotchi, though~so I spent some half of me playing the Pet Society , But suddenly this News came to the point that I use Harsh words .Who the hell think that this game is going to change with a Crap piece of junk games like Plant Vs Zombies? Yes, It felt like, again Im going to lose another precious collection of mine!

Sai Clear: I as a player even if i don't even pay i feel soo sad terrible i work hard for my pet and i always online for him i started just a poor one and i struggle to make him stable i share blessing and i love it. For me as a none paying customer i may say i don't have right but to take our hardship maybe soo hard for me to accept and losing many of my friends coz ps is the only connection why we r communicating i wish u bring our pet back i just hope u do.
Ines E Franco: I feel that they do not have any feelings, they do not care about customers, I think that if they are the worst company in customer service, according with the media, all the numbers are correct. EA sucks!!!!!!
Laura Pa: How do I feel? I feel like they killed my little pet, Margali. I believe they stole my cash and all the money I spent on the game. To say "spend the remaining CC before" they close the game, well we lost what we bought, so we got no meaningful use of that money. I'm an older disabled woman, My Margali hellped me get through pain and surgeries. I still miss her.
So much cash,time spent through the years and all being robbed right before your eyes with no guilt.I am so disappointed with EA alright.
Della Fink: I'm only mad at EA about closing Pet Society down and losing my little Sammy. I could care less about how much I spent in real money and I don't care about a refund because every penny I spent was worth it and I enjoyed every minute I spent playing with my Sammy.
My Opinion to EA is what is the use of playing your games only to be shut down sooner or later when you introduce new games and for that also you don't feel for us all who had put our soul in the games we played and committed to.Taking Pet-Society away is a huge mistake ever.
I think they are a bunch of cowards to take our PET SOCIETY away from us

It is really sad that such a big corporation just destroyed such a wonderful game because of profit and robbed us of our meeting-place.

Pet Society is an ideal place where human values still exist. It's a true haven of peace. It's a shame that EA destroyed our peaceful world without even offering a proper substitute. Pet Society is a unique game that can never be replaced. What EA did is the most stupid business move in history.

Jima Borja: Pet Society was the BEST game. My pet Baxter helped me get through the loss of my real dog Solomon. He was also helping me cope with my mom's declining health. Unfortunately EA murdered Baxter and his 17 petlings before my mom passed away and I didn't have him as a coping mechanism. EA is cruel and uncaring, they don't care that we spent hard-earned money on our pets only, they just turned around and killed them.
